1800 RPM for Long Life.
Clean for the Environment.
Quiet for You and Your Onboard Guests.

Compare the 1800 rpm Northern Lights M673L3 with high-rev, short-life 3600 rpm sets. At only 27 inches long and 362 pounds light, the M673L3 will fit in your boat.

But you save more than just space. Over 2000 hours of operation, the M673L3 will turn more than 216 million fewer revolutions. Its pistons will travel 38,522 fewer miles. Its cylinders will withstand 108 million fewer detonations. Now, which engine do you think will last longer? So do we.

The M673L3's small size makes it the perfect retrofit set for boats that weren't built with a generator set. Many owners will have it installed in the corrosive environments of lazarets and under cockpit soles. So, Northern Lights engineers gave it a stainless steel drip pan that will resist rust.

The M673L3 meets your power requirements and it will meet the EPA Tier Three emissions standards. You, your moorage neighbors, and the environment will all benefit.

Smooth and quiet, too. The M673L3 has a balanced Lugger three cylinder diesel instead of a rough two banger. Four platform isolation mounts reduce vibration transmission even more. The M673L3 is so quiet, many owners do without a sound shield; but, for maximum sound attenuation there is an optional powder coated aluminum sound enclosure.

The cast-iron, fresh water cooling system and gear driven seawater pump minimize troublesome belts, hoses, and gaskets.

The new "K" generator end has a broad, 110 to 240 voltage capability in both 50 and 60 Hz operation. The automatic voltage regulator gives clean power and is powered by a special AC winding for faster response and better motor starting. Your air conditioner will love being matched with the M673L3.

A 30 amp AC circuit breaker in the junction box provides short circuit protection. Safety shutdowns for low oil pressure, high water temperature, and high exhaust temperature are standard.

Everything you want in a set: 1800 rpm reliability, low emissions, quiet operation, and strong motor starting. Everything in one small package: the M673L3.
